What are the differences between the Indian Special Marriages Act and the Christian Marriage Act?

My sister's a Christian who's marrying a Hindu, in both a Hindu ceremony and in a church ceremony. She can also choose to have a civil marriage under the Special Marriages Act. What should I suggest - how are the rules different in case of divorce, her rights, separation, inheritance, etc.?
